Wear Resistant Thermocouple Industrial Design Accurate Measurement

 

Wear-resistant thermocouple is composed of wear-resistant heads, connecting rods, threads or flanges for installation and fixing, junction boxes, thermocouple cores or thermocouple wires.

Different high-strength wear-resistant protective pipes and surface modification measures are adopted for different temperature ranges and measured media, forming a composite pipe-type physical structure. This series of products are suitable for temperature measurement in petrochemical and coal conveying systems where the protective pipe is seriously worn, for flowing powders and materials such as fluidized bed boilers, cement clinker and refractory materials. The service life of thermocouples is further improved. It has won praise from users for its better performance than the current wear-resistant thermocouple. With a number of international leading high-tech products, we select specially processed wear-resistant materials to, without affecting thermometric lag, completely solve the service life issue of the temperature measurement thermocouple for circulating fluidized bed boiler. The protective sleeve is resistant to grinding, high temperature oxidation, sulfur, liquid iron powder, limestone and cement materials, as well as to vibrations, so that the temperature measuring thermocouple have a service life of one to two years.

 

 

 

The outer tube and wear-resistant head are made of special heat-resistant and wear-resistant alloy materials. According to the different temperature to be measured, the selected material of wear-resistant protective tube is also different. Flange connection or threaded connection is adopted, so that the product can be used for long-term temperature measurement in the range of 0-1,400 degrees. It is the most ideal temperature sensor used in high temperature and wear-resistant environments in metallurgy, chemical industry, cement plants, power plants, and fluidized bed boiler industries. In addition the wear-resistant protective tube is equipped with armored core, indicative of high wear resistance, corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, and erosion resistance. The protective tube can also protect the inner armored core under high temperature, with service life as long as two years. The components of the wear-resistant thermocouple include wear-resistant head, connecting rod, threaded connection or flange, junction box, and armored inner core. The material of wear-resistant head should be selected according to the actual temperature on the production site, and the material of connecting rod, threaded connection or flange should be selected based on the existence of corrosive media on site.

2. Comparison of wear-resistant thermocouple materials

2.1 Cermet wear resistance: we select the recrystallized silicon carbide cermet protection tube, with the temperature resistance as high as 1,300℃. It is equipped with type K or S armored core, especially suitable for temperature measurement in the applications requiring high temperature resistance, such as cement kiln tail and circulating fluidized bed.

2.4 High-temperature alloy wear resistance 2: The outer protection tube and wear-resistant head are made of special heat-resistant and wear-resistant alloy materials, internally designed with armored core, so that it not only shows high corrosion resistance to fly ash particles, but also provide ideal protection for internal core against high temperature. The flange or thread connection allows to measure temperature between 0~1,200℃ for a long time. 2.5 Iron-aluminum porcelain protective tube: iron base contains aluminum and is cleverly added with A12O3 powder to produce special iron-aluminum porcelain (TLC) alloy. The iron-aluminum porcelain alloy is used for the manufacturing of protective tube of thermocouple (resistor), becoming the most critical part of the aluminum-ceramic thermocouple (resistor)- the iron-aluminum protective tube. According to the working temperature, wear, medium type, pressure, etc., different series of iron-aluminum porcelain protective tubes are manufactured, including six series, TLC, TLC1, TLC2, TLC3, TLC4 and TLC5.

TLC: resistance to hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, sulfuric acid, sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide solution, with two types of working temperature: 350°C and 750°C.

TLC1 type: resistance to oxidation, sulfide, zinc vapor corrosion and wear, with good thermal shock resistance and working temperature of 1,100°C.

After actual use, the service life of zinc concentrate boiling furnace and pyrite boiling furnace is 4 months and 12 months respectively, and the service life of the boiling furnace and circulating fluidized bed boiler furnace and of the ball mill and fan mill is 6 months and 6-8 months, respectively.

TLC2: working temperature 1,250°C, with wear resistance lower than TLC1, and better resistance to thermal shock, high-temperature thermal strength, and working pressure (16MPa) than ceramic tubes, especially suitable for type C protective tube of 1,250°C thermocouple.

TLC3: It is improved based on TLC2. In addition to the characteristics of TLC2, a special improvement is made in wear resistance, much higher than TLC1. Under the same working conditions, it can increase the service life twice. The working temperature is 1,300°C.

TLC4: It is improved based on TLC1. In addition to the characteristics of TLC1, a special improvement is made in wear resistance, much higher than TLC1. Under the same working conditions, it can increase the life by three times. The working temperature is 1,100°C. After actual use, the service life of the protective tubes for temperature measurement at the inlet and outlet of ball mill reaches 36 months.

Applications: When ordering wear-resistant thermocouples and wear-resistant thermal resistors, customers must determine their industrial and mining applications and operating temperatures, so that the manufacturer can choose the correct materials of the wear-resistant head.
